Who ever said vegans can’t be crazy and creative with their food? We totally are! Look, we didn’t go vegan because we hate food, and most of us are trying to figure out ways to recreate the foods that we loved to eat before giving up meat. And what’s one food everyone loves? Hamburgers. What’s another? Chocolate chip cookies. And what did I do? Combined the two. Oh, and added gorgonzola cheese.
I know you must be thinking, “Who in their right mind would combine a vegan burger with chocolate chip cookies and gorgonzola cheese? Vegan or not, that sounds disgusting!” I know it sounds ¬bad, but just hear me out. Cooking and creating recipes are artforms and the art is in finding flavor combinations that work, even if they sound like they don’t. This dish combines sweet and savory perfectly in a way that, I will admit, is very surprising. Burgers (vegan and meat) have been made with donuts as buns with a lot of success, but soft batch chocolate chip cookies are a whole new ballgame. They add an extra depth of flavor and a more interesting texture that donuts just don’t have.
Now, you’re probably really skeptical about the gorgonzola. How can that possibly taste good with a burger that has soft batch chocolate chip cookies as a bun?? Well, you’re just going to have to trust me on this one. Gorgonzola is a cheese that has a really strong flavor, but when combined with the awesome vegan patty, the cookies, and all the burger fixings its flavor compliments everything really well without overpowering it and ties the whole dish together.
I encourage you to give this burger a try and stack it high with your favorite vegetables and condiments. And don’t forget to plate it beautifully! #HealthyFoodTips #HealthyFoodPrep #HealthyFoodie #HealthyFoodGuide #HealthyFoodInspo #HealthyFoodRecipe #HealthyFoodForLife #HealthyFoodDelivery #AsianFood #AsianFoodPorn #AsianFoodLover
