Exploration of a storytelling

Rene Griffith began staging and photographing scenes to tell her stories. In 6th grade she sold her first painting (a watercolor of a pelican) for $5 and her dream of becoming an artist was reinforced.
Rene Griffith About the Artist Visit The Artist’s Site The third of eight children, Rene Griffith, was born in the Canal Zone to a Panamanian mother and an American father. The family relocated to Florida and Rene grew up in Eau Gallie, a small coastal town in central Florida. Rene always knew she wanted to be an artist and had an unstoppable curiosity about the world around her. At the age of 12 she received her first Brownie camera and began staging and photographing scenes to tell her stories. In 6th grade she sold her first painting (a watercolor of a pelican) for $5 and her dream of becoming an artist was reinforced.
