Uvdeshmukh Uncategorized November 4, 2024 About Sarah Jarrett .’I want my work to provoke an emotional response and for the viewer to be intrigued by the process behind it. I would like to think my art leaves an impression on the viewer that is not easily forgotten.’ I started out using paint, collage and a sewing machine to stitch onto my colour photographs but now I do the same digitally using a tool kit of apps on an ipad and my computer. I collect interesting papers, patterns and type and also make my own, to cut out shapes for collages which I merge with my photography and painting. Each image that I make involves days of work painstakingly cutting out, painting and layering to produce a final image that has a very slick, contemporary and bold graphic feel. I’ve worked hard over many years to create a ‘distinctive look and identity’ to my images. https://artsorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/pexels-photo-7194727-e1630064572452.jpeg
