Katharina Grosse is a German artist. As an artist, Grosse's work employs a use of architecture, sculpture and painting. She often uses bright, unmixed sprayed-on acrylic paints to create both large-scale sculptural elements and smaller wall works. — Katharina Grosse Life and education Grosse was born in 1961 in Freiburg/Breisgau, Germany. Katharina Grosse studied at the art academies in Münster and Düsseldorf, taught at the Art Academy Berlin-Weissensee from 2000 to 2010, and has been a professor of painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy since 2010.
